Journal History

Klabat Accounting Review (KAR) was launched by the Unklab Business School, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Klabat, Indonesia, as a platform for sharing research and ideas in accounting, finance, auditing, corporate governance, and other related fields. Since its first publication, the journal has grown steadily in both quality and reach.

Milestones

• February 2020 – Klabat Accounting Review published its first issue (Volume 1, Number 1), marking the beginning of the journal’s journey in promoting accounting research. 
• 2020 – 2024 – The journal consistently published two issues per year (in February and September), with six (6) articles in each issue.
• September 2024 (Volume 5, Number 2) – To focus on publishing more refined and impactful research, the journal began featuring five (5) articles per issue.
• October 2024 – The journal introduced a new article template, designed to improve structure, readability, and overall presentation in line with international academic standards.
• November 2024 – Klabat Accounting Review achieved a significant milestone by earning SINTA 5 accreditation from the Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi

Today, Klabat Accounting Review continues to serve as an open-access platform for academics, practitioners, and students to exchange knowledge and insights that advance the field of accounting and business research.
