AI Policy

For Authors:

Ethical and Responsible Use

Authors must disclose any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools during the research process, including data collection, analysis, or writing support. Proper credit should be given for any AI-generated content included in the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for following privacy laws and obtaining informed consent when AI tools handle personal or sensitive information.

It is also their duty to identify and address potential biases in AI systems to ensure fair, valid, and unbiased research results.

All content produced with AI must respect intellectual property and copyright laws.

AI in Research Methodology and Data Analysis

Authors should evaluate whether AI tools are appropriate for their research goals, considering factors like accuracy, reliability, and relevance to coaching and sports science.

AI-assisted results must be validated with standard research methods to maintain scientific rigor and reproducibility.

The journal favors the use of explainable AI models—tools that provide transparent outputs—to improve clarity in methodology and deepen understanding of the results.

Academic Integrity and Originality

AI assistance should be clearly acknowledged in accordance with standard academic citation practices.

Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate the authors’ own contributions, critical thinking, and originality, not solely rely on AI-generated content.

Transparency in Peer Review and Collaboration

Authors should disclose any AI use during peer review and when working with co-authors, enabling transparency and fostering academic discussion.

Research teams should agree upfront on how AI tools, data management, and authorship are handled.

For Reviewers:

Reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential. Uploading the manuscript into AI tools may breach confidentiality, proprietary rights, or privacy, especially if it contains personal data. Reviewers are responsible for their review content.

For Editors:

Editors must keep manuscripts confidential and should not upload them into AI tools to avoid privacy and confidentiality breaches.
