PENCEGAHAN DAN PENANGGULANGAN STUNTING MELALUI PEMBERIAN EDUKASI DAN GIZI

Abstract

Pencegahan stunting diawal kehidupan telah menjadi perhatian dunia. Salah satu pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui intervensi gizi. Literature review ini bertujuan untuk membahas pemberian edukasi dan gizi untuk pencegahan dan penanggulanan stunting. Pencarian artikel menggunakan database PubMed, ProQuest, EBSCO and Scopus, dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu artikel yang membahas mengenai pemberian edukasi dan gizi untuk pencegahan ataupun penanggulangan stunting yang diterbitkan tahun 2016-2021 dengan responden ibu dan balita usia 6-59. Kriteria eksklusi adalah artikel yang bukan berbahasa inggris dan hanya abstrak. 8 artikel yang direview dengan hasil tindakan yang dapat diberikan untuk pencegahan dan penanggulanan stunting adalah pemberian makanan pendamping asi berupa makronutrien seperti protein, karbohidrat dan lemak serta mikronutrien seperti zat besi, zinc, vitamin A, asam folat, iron, kalsium, fosfor dan vitamin B1, B2, B12, D3 , serta pemberian edukasi gizi yang bertujuan untuk peningkatan pengetahun ibu balita. Pemberian edukasi gizi dapat dilakukan sebagai awal program pencegahan stunting kemudian diikuti dengan pendampingan dalam persiapan pembuatan makanan hingga pada pemberian makanan yang mengandung makronutrien maupun mikronutrien.


Prevention of stunting early in life has become a global concern. One prevention that can be done is through nutritional intervention. This literature review aims to discuss the provision of education and nutrition for the prevention and management of stunting. The article search used the PubMed, ProQuest, EBSCO and Scopus databases, with inclusion criteria namely articles discussing the provision of education and nutrition for the prevention or management of stunting published in 2016-2021 with respondents from mothers and toddlers aged 6-59. Exclusion criteria were articles that were not in English and only abstracts. 8 articles were reviewed with the results, actions that can be given to prevent and overcome stunting are providing complementary foods for breast milk in the form of macronutrients such as protein, carbohydrates and fats as well as micronutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamin A, folic acid, iron, calcium, phosphorus and vitamins. B1, B2, B12, D3, as well as providing nutrition education aimed at increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers. Providing nutrition education can be carried out as the start of a stunting prevention program, then followed by assistance in preparing food and providing food containing macronutrients and micronutrients.
