HUBUNGAN BURNOUT DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PADA PERAWAT DI RSUD MARIA WALANDA MARAMIS
Abstract

Quality of life is a person's assessment of his life that can be influenced by burnout, namely work stress which can interfere with nursing services and the health of nurses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between burnout and quality of life for nurses at the Maria Walanda Maramis Hospital. The research design used descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results showed that among 61 nurses at Maria Walanda Maramis Hospital there were 40 nurses (65.6%) in the low burnout category, 21 nurses (34.3%) had burnout in the moderate category, and 33 nurses (54.1%) had quality of life in the high category, 26 nurses (42.6%) had a quality of life in the very high category, and 2 nurses (3.3%) had a quality of life in the moderate category. There is a relationship between burnout and the quality of life of nurses at Maria Walanda Maramis Hospital with a p-value of 0.010 < 0.05; r = -0.329. The partial correlation test showed that there was a relationship between burnout and the quality of life of nurses at the Maria Walanda Maramis Hospital when the nursing ward aspect is added with a p-value of 0.007 <0.05; r = - 0.344. Recommendations for further researchers to be able to examine other factors that affect burnout such as nurses’ tenure.
