PERSEPSI DAN SIKAP MASYARAKAT TERHADAP TERAPI KOMPLEMENTER

Abstract

Terapi komplementer yang dapat diartikan terapi alami dari hasil alam telah menjadi salah satu bagian untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Namun keberagaman sikap setiap individu berpengaruh pada jenis terapi yang akan dipilih, ada yang memiliki sikap positif dan ada yang negatif. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi cara masyarakat menyikapi terapi komplementer yaitu, persepsi individu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi dan sikap masyarakat terhadap terapi komplementer di Desa Libas. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 200 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran persepsi masyarakat termasuk dalam kategori positif (53%) dan gambaran sikap masyarakat termasuk dalam kategori positif (52.5%). Hasil uji spearman’s rho menunjukkan p value= 0,001 < 0,05 yang artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi dan sikap masyarakat terhadap terapi komplementer di Desa Libas, dengan nilai r = 0,415 yang berarti korelasi hubungan kedua variable pada klasifikasi sedang serta memiliki arah positif atau ketika persepsi tentang terapi komplementer meningkat maka sikap juga akan searah. Rekomendasi bagi masyarakat dapat terus mempertahankan bahkan meningkatkan persepsi yang positif tentang terapi komplementer yang telah terbukti bermanfaat dan aman sehingga sikap yang positif dapat terus berlanjut, dimana hal ini akan sangat menunjang untuk berjalannya terapi konvensional yang optimal.

ABSTRACT

Complementary therapy, which can be interpreted as natural therapy from natural sources, has become a part in conquer health problems in community. However, the diversity of attitudes of each individual influences the type of therapy to be chosen, some have positive and some negative attitudes. One of the factors that influence the way society responds to complementary therapy was individual perception. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions and attitudes towards the complementary therapy in Libas Village community. Quantitative correlation was the research design used with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 200 respondents who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study showed that the description of people's perceptions is categorized in the positive perception (53%) and the description of people's attitude was categorized in the positive attitude (52.5%). Spearman's rho test results showed that the  p value = 0.001 <0.05, which means that there were a significant relationship between perceptions and attitudes towards the complementary therapy community in Libas Village. Furthermore, the value of r = 0.415 means that the correlation between the two variables were in the moderate classification and has a positive direction or when perceptions of complementary therapy increase, attitudes will increase as well. Recommendations for the community to continue to maintain and even increase the positive perceptions about complementary therapies that have been proven to be useful and safe to used, so that a positive attitude will be done continually which will greatly support optimal conventional therapy.
